Got a secret? Looks like Congressmen Glenn Grothman can't keep it...
Welcome back, Americans. Come along with me as we dig into the deep and scandalous lives of US politicians and cases. On today's episode, we need to go over Republican Congressmen Glenn Grothman's rookie mistake after he accidentally let out a VERY incriminating detail towards Donald Trump's win in the 2024 election.
Now, when we look over at the video, Grothman states "Anybody who says that Donald Trump thought he won that election--that is just plain not true. No way. Unless he's the best actor in the history of...ah..." and right then and there, he becomes lost in his own words. Obviously, this sounds very incriminating and suspicious. President Trump received a numerous amount backlash over his win back in 2024, which many state he cheated his way through that election.
Is this truly all the evidence we need to impeach Trump?? For others hoping on his downfall, unfortunately not.
When in regards to the law, because Grothman corrected himself right away after that statement, he could have just said he was tired or confused. In court or an impeachment trial, that makes his statement unreliable, so it can't really be 100% used against the President.
Another point is that to impeach a President, you need massive amounts of official evidence. Recordings, documents, or direct witnesses. A single slip up from a politician in a public meeting doesn't meet that high of a bar.
Additionally, Congressman Grothman is on the Presidents side, He immediately tried to fix his mistake by saying he meant the opposite. His party isn't going to use his own verbal stumble as a reason to turn on their own leader. So if you were hoping for an impeachment of the President, regrettably, it's not happening today Americans.
